At the Geneva motor show, Renault confirmed its objectives including increases in sales volumes expected to more than 10% in 2008, taking advantage of the launch of 9 models. The group also aims french still an operating margin of 4.5% versus 3.3% in 2007.
'Despite an unfavourable in the foreign exchange market, and a rise in raw material prices, Renault was slightly over 2007 in the second milestone margin set by the 2009 contract. Outside Europe, sales grew by 16.3%, which represents 35% of sales of Renault vehicles sold or 861330. Sales of the Renault brand rose by 0.9%, 17.2% of Dacia and Renault Samsung Motors decreased 1.5%.
Total sales of Renault and Nissan stood at 6160046 vehicles in 2007 (+4.2%), a global market share of 9.1%.
