Sodexo finalises its acquisition Brazilian
The group catering french finalized the acquisition of the cheque and card services group VR in Brazil for an amount of one billion reals (about 405 million euros).

This activity, including the buyout was announced in September, will be consolidated in the accounts of Sodexo over six months during the year 2007-2008, according to a statement of the group. "With this acquisition, Sodexo becomes market leader cheques and card service in Brazil, with a volume of issuance of 2.4 billion euros at current exchange rates and a portfolio of 50,000 clients and 5 million beneficiaries , it is stated.

The cards and cheques service (gift certificates, gas cards, tickets restaurants ...) represent the second group Sodexo business, which occupies the second place behind World Accor.

Established in 1977, the group VR third cheques and credit card services in Brazil, has achieved a turnover of 4 billion reais last year (about 1.56 billion euros)
