The Ministry of Agriculture goes all-IP for its communications

IP Convergence Expo - The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries will upgrade to voice over IP for its communications, as part of an upgrade of its information system.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries will update its information system so that it now manages all of its communications. It will then rise to the VoIP for telephony.

The maître d'oeuvre is the operator Neuf Cegetel, which was surrounded for the occasion from various partners: Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, NextiraOne, Spie Communications and Telindus. The amount of the project has not been specified, but it is one of the largest of its kind for Nine.

It is indeed for a period of 8 years and covers 800 sites dependent on the ministry. The meeting of voice and data streams on a single IP network will enable ministry employees to benefit from the unified messaging - convergence of telephone and e-mail messaging and instantaneous. The provision of nine also includes mobility services (VPN) and IP video.

The operator also highlights "cost savings through sharing of communications applications on a network voice and data (data) unified."

Nine presents the solution adopted by the ministry, known as "9 Ipnet ToIP" on the show IP Convergence Expo
