M6 anticipates a "slight" increase in advertising revenues in 2008, in a market where the visibility is low, and hopes to accelerate the growth of its consolidated sales, "said Nicolas de Tavernost, president of Executive of the group.

"I do not want to give too precise figures today because, quite frankly, we do not know," he added. "Given that the first quarter is not good, it is not expected significant growth in the advertising market for television history in 2008."

When asked whether the group would be able to accelerate the growth of its consolidated sales compared to a rate of 5.7% recorded in 2007, he replied: "I think we should do better. Depend But it many acquisitions. "

He said that M6 had in mind an acquisition in the internet for an amount "in double figures". In this sector, already owns the M6 online business Mistergooddeal.com.

Nicolas de Tavernost also stated that M6 was not interested in an acquisition in the digital terrestrial television (DTT), as opposed to TF1, or by Towercast, including broadcaster NRJ plans to open the capital.

The CEO of M6 said also predict an increase in the cost of grid channel M6 to 365-375 million euros this year - some 50 million for the broadcast rights of the Euro 2008 football -- compared to 299 million in 2007.

For 2009, Nicolas de Tavernost analysts said that M6 did not maintain the cost of the grid at the same level as 2008, or even increase it, despite the absence of major sporting event to broadcast.

RTL Group, a subsidiary of Bertelsmann, owns 48.6% stake in M6 and the Belgian businessman Albert Frère 5% through to the National Portfolio (NOC), according to the website of the group.
