Boeing ask the Air Force

BoEing said Tuesday that it had asked for immediate explanations for the U.S. Air Force regarding the tanker aircraft contract of $ 35 billion it has lost the benefit of a consortium and Northrop EADS.

Boeing added that the Air Force has scheduled a US meeting with Boeing on March 12 at the earliest, but he believes that this date is too late to be consistent with the practice in public procurement.

Boeing wants to know why it was presented as a candidate subject to the "highest risk," says Mark McGraw, vice president of program Boeing 767 tanker. "It is important for us to grasp how the Air Force has come to its conclusions," he said.
