Renault is embarking on ecology

By launching the Eco ² Renault, the company realized its commitment to the environment. It proclaims that cars are environmentally friendly programme based on three criteria.

-- CO2 emissions are reduced to less than 140g/km (ie vehicles with E85 either Biodiesel B30)

-- The production sites of these cars are certified ISO 14001 (certification for a strengthening management of environmental policy, for more even link below)

-- The materials used are valued at 95% end-of-life of the machine and 5% of plastics used for the construction comes from recycling

In addition, the manufacturer refers to the economic aspect: the car is economical in terms of fuel consumption, it is a technology affordable for the customer (200-1000 for € a car travelling at the E85), and where appropriate, providing access to tax advantages for customers.

The new models as part of the programme are:

Clio, Modus, Mégane Sedan, Megane Coupe, Megane Estate, Mégane Sedan 4-door, coupe and cabriolet Scénic

It is a very fine technical and environmental progress. In addition, the company has shown a real willingness to engage in ecology. The only problem is the fuel used to power vehicles: E85, already challenged to be very low energy efficiency, and Biodiesel are two agricultural products.
