Japan will invest heavily to help develop clean cars

According to this article the economic daily La Tribune, the Japanese government announced a major plan of development aid clean cars in helping manufacturers to offer electric cars, hybrids and equipped with GTL. On the next 5 years, will be injected 200 billion yen, or 1.22 billion euros, helping manufacturers to produce hybrid cars and cleaner fuels, for a more affordable price. Purpose of the Minister of Commerce: reducing the use of fossil fuels and greenhouse gases. It followed a proposal by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe last week to halve global emissions by 2050. The minister, however, did not specify the specific target for Japan in particular.

The government plans to subsidize the development of battery electric cars fitted. Estimate: 4.9 billion yen (300 million euros) a year to allow manufacturers to build cars cheaper. "The price should not exceed that of petrol-driven cars," said Satoshi Kusakabe, director of the Automotive Division in the Ministry of Trade.
