Simba, a leading German toy, has been chosen by the Commercial Court of Lons-le-Saunier, in the Jura, according to the french group Smoby-Berchet, the group hears from the transplant.

Simba has scheduled in his bid to retain 400 of the 1,100 employees of the group.

The court also ordered the reopening of discussion on the future of the company Majorette-Solido, with whom Smoby formed the No. 2 European toy. Candidates for the resumption will be réentendus and other candidates will come forward.

The company Ecoiffier, ultimate Smoby element of the group, was entrusted to his former leader Jacques Ecoiffier.

Smoby-Majorette was picked up in spring 2007 by the American MGA Entertainment as part of a backup procedure. The poor situation of the company has led to the bankruptcy last October.

The group, which employs approximately 2,300 employees including 1,100 in France, knows a debt of 277 million euros to 58 million equity.
